![]() Earning everyone’s trust is a very concerted effort over the life of the project, and it’s my job to give them the confidence that we’ll give them something to be proud of. All clients want to know that you’ve been here before and that the project is going to turn out great. Much of what we did at Meadowbrook came down to giving the membership the feeling of being a part of the process and that they could trust me to guide them through the entire renovation. The possibilities had me intrigued.Īndy Staples and Assistant Superintendent Andy O’Haver did a great job of sharing updates as the renovation unfolded, and with every photo and video, my excitement grew (I highly recommend following them both Andy Staples and Andy O’Haver his role as a project lead, I’m hoping to be able to add some of Andy O’Haver’s thoughts here at some point. One in particular has risen to the top of my radar as I have watched it unfold from a distance. The final five spots aren’t nearly as easy for me to hand to who Staples awarded them to, not to say he’s wrong, but they’re clearly the ones up for debate.The past decade has seen a number of wonderful renovations of classic golf courses – Philadelphia Cricket Club, Moraine CC, Cal Club, Orchard Lake CC and others are exciting for golf geeks at several levels. With the cutoff being set at 15 in this case there are plenty of obvious programs.Īlabama, Clemson, LSU, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, and USC are all obvious choices to me and all require no further discussion. The Athletic's imagined a College Football Super League. Who would make the cut and who would be playing a lower level of college football?Īndy Staples of The Athletic put together his list of 15 programs that would be included in this make-believe land of college football’s elite programs, but he also offered that location would have to be taken into account for the good of the game and league. What if college football were to do something similar? ![]() The good for them means that the rich essentially get richer because the TV deal would be massive, but for the good of the sport, it’s hard to see the positives. The international sports world was shaken upside down as recently as the creation of the “Super League” in soccer means that 12 of the most popular teams in the world are starting their own league and essentially forgetting about everything else.
